THE PRACTICE STAFF

Practice Manager - AMSPAR

Mrs Ali Smith is responsible for all practice administration and office staff. She is happy to receive any comments you may have about the service we provide. She is available Monday to Friday.

Receptionists

Alice, Meryl, Heather, Annie and Sue are here to help you and try to be friendly, efficient and helpful at all times. There is a room available to patients if they wish to discuss something in private with the receptionist. Please do not hesitate to ask for this facility.

Administration Staff

Sue Garratt and Annie Aitken are part of the surgery team and carry out administrative and secretarial duties.

Practice Nurses

Nurse Practitioner Sister Sue Thomas BSc (Hons) and Sister Ruth Mullineux are available daily. As well as running health promotion clinics they also provide full family planning services, immunisations (including the full range of travel immunisations), cervical cytology and the full range of nursing services. The doctor may refer you to see the nurse for some follow-up procedures. Our sisters are fully trained in care of diabetes, asthma and heart disease conditions.

Health Care Assistance

Lindsey Lear is trained to undertake specific tasks under supervision by the trained nursing team, including routine blood pressure checks and new patient checks.

District Nurses

District Nurses are attached to the surgery and are contactable at Cape Road Clinic on 01926 400001 or you can leave a message for them at the surgery. The district nurses take care of people confined to their homes.

Health Visitors

Health visitors are contactable at Cape Road Clinic on 01926 400001 every morning before 10.00am or through the surgery. They are specially trained in family health care, particularly for mothers and children and the elderly.

Phlebotomist

Linsey, our phlebotomist, will carry out routine blood pressure checks, new patient checks and take blood samples.

Community Midwife

Contactable at South Warwickshire Hospital on 01926 495321. Provides special care for maternity patients.

Community Psychiatric Nurse

Referrals through the doctor.

Macmillan Nurses

We have Macmillan Nurses attached to our surgery to support patients with cancer and offer palliative care. They can be contacted either through our surgery or via Myton Hospice on: 01926 499988.
